Step 1– Not to prime is a crime! If you want your smokey eye to last as long as you do, you’ve got to lay down the foundations. Apply a long-lasting primer like Urban Decay Primer Potion all over the lids.
Step 2– Take your palette and lay down an all-over-lid base colour with a lighter shade like Buck. Add intensity by applying a darker colour like Smog to the outer corners of the lid and smudge a little under the eyes for extra dram. A generous dusting of gold shimmer (like half baked) to the centre of the lids adds an instant festive feel and really brightens the eye. Add a little in the inner corners of the eyes (near your tear ducks), this will really make your eyes pop!
Step 3– Liner time. It’s a smokey eye so no need to be precise. Take a long-lasting khol pencil to line the lids and under-eye area, then using your finger, smudge out for a lived-in, smoked effect.
Step 4– Lashings of your favourite mascara – If you want full on glamour, why not add some lashes.
